Linda Edna Cardellini's parents include businessman Wayne David Cardellini and Lorraine (Hernan). Her parents were born in Redwood City in California. Her parents are of Italian, German (from the paternal grandmother), Irish and Scottish descendance. Linda was raised in the San Francisco Bay area, California and was the eldest of four children. When she was ten years old, Linda was captivated by acting when she performed the role of a singer in her school's Christmas production. She did school and community plays. Linda was a student at Saint Francis High School, Mountain View in California. When she finished her studies Linda was forced to decide between moving to New York or Los Angeles and study theater. After graduating, she had to decide whether or not to pursue film and television in Los Angeles. Linda played her first major part in Bone Chillers, a 1996 television series. Freaks and Geeks, 1999 was her breakthrough role. Lindsay Weir played the academic decathlete on the show that is renowned that she was the recipient of one Emmy Award.

Lily James (born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson on the 5th of April 1989) is an English actor from England. She was trained at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama and started her career with the British television series Just William (2010). After her character as Lady Rose MacClare in the period drama series Downton Abbey (2012-2015), her first big break came in the title role in the film of fantasy Cinderella (2015). James went on to portray Countess Natasha Rostova in the television version of War & Peace (2016) as well as starring in various films. These included the action film Baby Driver (2017), the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017), The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018) and The Dig (2021), and the musicals Mamma Mia! We Go Back Again (2018), and Yesterday (2019). Her portrayal of Pamela Anderson in the biographical series Pam & Tommy (2022) earned her nominations for the Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award.
