Awkwafina
Awkwafina is an American actor and performer who started her career through innovative raps which addressed the issues of sexuality and race with a an edgy, comical perspective. Her career then grew into Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was Nora's first instrument. After a classical and jazz education, she delved into hip-hop as a teen. While in college, she focused on her studies and majored both in women's study as well as journalism. For a brief period of time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were also offered. Not until after graduation did her focus shift to music. Her 2012 track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet eventually landing on her debut album Yellow Ranger in 2014. This album also featured popular hits that went viral, such as body positive Queef or the winking city tour the city of New York Bitche$. The track that was published specifically linked to the album Awkwafinas NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. After a successful career as a musician and songwriter, she took on the role of actor. In addition to early television programs like Girl Code and Tawk, she's been featured in movies like Neighbors2Storks, and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered many breakthrough roles, such as Dude Ocean's 8 or Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP In Fina We Trust.
